If a pet Owner cancels a Pawmit purchase request, we will return funds in accordance with this policy.
Cancellation of a Pawmit Pawmit rabies certification may be made before the pet is brought to the veterinarian or other medical professional for analysis and before a licensed professional has certified data, after which a refund is not available.
Cancelation is not permitted after the veterinary professional certifies the rabies data or 30 days from the order date.
It is important to note that a pet who's data has been pre-certified will have its Pawmit issued when the order is completed and all other requirments met. As such the order will not be cancelable due to the issuance of the Pawmit and certification of the data.
When an order is canceled all donations, promotions, tests, and other payments are also canceled.
If you wish to cancel an order after that time limit please utilize our Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. The RMA process is for merchandise orders only, not Pawmit orders.
Please also note our refund policy.
For merchandise other than the Pawmit , you must request a return authorization number from us using our Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) process. After receipt of the authorization number (sent to your email address on file), the item(s) should be sent back to our facilities with the RMA number clearly marked on the outside of the shipping box (do not write or damage the merchandise packaging). A valid contact address is required to identify the location of your pet for their Pawmit .
You agree to allow Veripet to send text messages to your mobile number when someone has found your lost pet and reported that to us. We send the finder's contact information to you as provided by them in a private manner and do not disclose your number or email address to the person(s) who found your pet. Veripet will only show the finder your pet's name, not your name or contact information.
We share some information you give us as a matter of presenting a service provider your pet's Pawmit certificate. Information on your Pawmit contains such items your pet's rabies status, and your name as the owner, etc. A typical Rabies Certificate can be seen here. You agree that information such as just detailed and also breed, photo, license, etc. can be shared with applicable service providers, and others during the normal operation of our system. We share your pet's information to display your Pawmit certification when your service provider(s) requests it. We will also share this information when your pet is lost and found by a governmental agency to check its rabies vaccination status in order to know your pet is vaccinated and to avoid administering another vaccination when it's not required.
We permit your veterinary professional's practice access to your pet's (their patient's) medical records in order to maintain the data and check its accuracy. We only grant your vet data access after you have authorized them to access that data which is accomplished by you choosing choosing them from the vet setting page. On this page you will find a chooser icon which will allow you to pick a vet.
On the vet setting page of your pet's medical records, you may also enter free format veterinary information instead of choosing a vet. It should be noted that free format information does not satisfy the security goals of the Veripet system, and will not allow a vet access to your pet's medical records, it instead acts as a convenient and noteworthy place only to save this type of information. Free format veterinary information and will not permit that entered vet access to your pet's medical records
If you cannot locate your vet on our vet search page you may call them to ask for their participation or enter a registration request to have a Veripet representative contact and register them on your behalf. Once registered, Veripet will also choose the vet on your behalf if you specify the pet in the request.
Your pet's rabies vaccination information may change over time for typical reasons that it will eventually expire or someone has modified the data such as yourself or vet. In the event the pet's rabies vaccination data is modified it must be recertified as per the normal process.
Recertification, and its cost, is done at the sole discretion of the veterinary professional whom may or may not directly charge you for the procedure. There is not any Veripet cost to the owner for recertification due to changed data or when in the normal course of boosters being administered after the current vaccination has expired. Your veterinary professional will charge you for the normal rabies booster shots over the course of the pet's life but you will never be charged again by Veripet for your pet's Pawmit
Changing rabies vaccination data will also immediately invalidate any Pawmit that has been previously issued for the pet and require your veterinary profession to recertify that information as per here. The pet owner will be notified by email that the data has been modified and recertification is required to maintain the validity of a pet's Pawmit.
When you complete the Pawmit certification process your pet's microchip will be registered in Veripet's database and made available for searching from within our site. There are links to look up a microchip number on our home and other pages to allow someone who has found your pet to send you a confidential notification with their contact information. Veripet will only show the finder your pet's name, not your name or contact information.
In order to receive Pawmit donations you must register as a service provider at our site which we will do on your your behalf if you request us to.
One or more valid physician's license must be in force for the pet's residence location. You may delegate the certification by allowing additional users such as veterinary technicians to certify on behalf of a physician. It is important to note that a medical license is associated with a person who is a physician and not the organization they belong to. The certifying physician and location are selectable for those practices that have multiple offices and physicians. You can learn about licenses on this page or here.
A valid contact address is required to identify the location of your practice in order to certify a pet for a Pawmit and to send the certification donation to. This contact address should be the address of your practice's main office.
A $0 donation for rabies and alteration data certification will be automatically credited to your account at the time vaccination data is entered into the Veripet system for a pet who's owner has purchased a Pawmit . Payment is dependent upon the veterinarian professional performing the few needful steps and certifying the vaccination information at the Veripet site as well as the pet owner completing all other Pawmit requirements such as entering the pet's location, etc.
Your organization's account will be credited a $0 renewal donation each time a pet's rabies booster is administered by you and entered at our site. This passive, repeating income will be automatically credited to your account for each renewal vaccination given to a pet whom is under your care, has a Pawmit and was previously certified by a licensed professional.
You do not have to be the original certifier to receive the renewal donation but your organization must enter the data and recertify it. The renewal donation repeats for each administered booster for the life of the pet.
It is important to note that Veripet requires a veterinarian to use the longest life vaccination medication available at the time which is 4 years as of this writing.
To receive these repeating donations in a passive manner (without data entry by you or your staff), Veripet and your practice should be electronically connected either directly or via a 3rd party on-line data supplier. We will work with your practice and/or on-line medical record aggregator to implement this connection at your discretion. Veripet will not charge you for this service however your on-line provider or technical support team may charge a fee for customization.
If electronic connection is not available or desired your practice can still receive the repeating donations as per above by utilizing our simple manual data entry procedures at our site. This is the same data entry processes performed by you or your staff when entering the pet's initial vaccination certification.
If you organization did not administer the rabies vaccinations, a certification of another physician's vaccine administration can still be made by your organization. Your organization will receive the initial donation by performing whatever level of due diligence it is comfortable with to certify the data at our site, be it a phone call to the administering physician, inspection of paperwork or other means.
In the event another physician certifies the data prior to the issuance of the Pawmit and after your organization has certified it, the certifying organization of record when the Pawmit is issued will receive all donations. This unlikely paradigm may occur in a situation where a pet owner who brings the pet to a different vet after your organization has entered the data.
A veterinary professional may certify the rabies data and enter or confirm the microchip and alteration status are accurate prior to the pet owner purchasing a Pawmit and still receive all Pawmit donations when the Pawmit is purchased as long as all conditions to issue a Pawmit are satisfied. Pre-certification helps ensure the licensed medical professional will be the certifier of record when the Pawmit is purchased.
When an owner purchases a Pawmit for a pet that you are sure has been vaccinated (such as a pet whom you vaccinated) your medical staff can enter and certify the data at our site without having to revaccinate the pet and your organization will be credited an initial certification donation.
A veterinary professional may certify rabies booster vaccination data after the initial certification and receive a renewal donation as long as the vaccination satisfies all the renewal terms. Post Pawmit certification when a shot does not meet those terms will not result in Pawmit donations of any type.
There is a minimum one year waiting period after the initial data certification before a vaccine renewal donation will be credited to your organization. A renewal donation will not be available for at least one year from the time of that initial certification or when the vaccination is due for renewal, whichever is longer.
In the event the pet's rabies vaccination data is intentionally or accidentally modified by someone (vet, owner, etc.), the vaccination data must be recertified as per the normal process. The rabies information may be recertified as many times as the licensed veterinary professional deems necessary, however not withstanding renewal donation guidelines, multiple recertifications will not result in additional Pawmit donations. The initial donation is a onetime payment and recertification is done at the sole discretion of the veterinary professional. Any cost associated with recertification is billed by the veterinary practice directly to the pet owner. Veripet does not receive any funds for the recertification process. Lack of recertification will invalidate any Pawmit that has been previously issued for the pet.
There are pets who for many reasons such as medical conditions or age, may be exempt from being required to have a rabies vaccination. Veripet will still provide the licensed medical professions all donations for certifying the pet is exempt, the reason it is exempt, and maintaining the exemption status every 4 years just as if the pet had received a vaccination and/or booster.
All financial distributions are credited to the active organization, not physician, to which the certifying physician's license is associated with at the time the Pawmit is issued. The organization must be registered and active in the Veripet system to receive donations. Additionally, in the event physicians move to another organizations, the organization they were originally associated with when they certified data will receive the Pawmit donations, not the new organization.
Disbursement of donations will be made monthly via check sent to your current practice location as specified in your account settings.
Pawmit donations are credited to the certifying organization and remain in that account until dispersed as per these terms. If the organization's account becomes inactive for any reason the funds will be forfeited by the organization.
Pawmit donations in all forms that are not accepted within six months from issuance date will expire and funds forfeited.
Pawmit donations in all forms require the customer purchace a Pawmit. Any promotion that results in a zero cost for the puchace will NOT include any donations, including but not mimited to, the rescue, shelter, animal control, SPCA, veterinarian and Veripet's Donation Pot .
Pets must have a valid rabies vaccination for the owner to obtain a Pawmit certification. So that we may provide that certification to others we ask the veterinary professional supply vaccination details to Veripet at the time the vaccination procedure is performed as per below.
If you organization did not administer the rabies vaccinations, a certification of another physician's administration can still be made by your organization. Your organization can receive the initial donation by performing whatever level of due diligence it is comfortable with to certify the data at our site, be it a phone call to the administering physician, inspection of paperwork or other means.
We prefer you enter data via our website's rabies certification page for the pet. To facilitate and ensure quality data the form will be pre-filled with most of the information needed and will therefore be more accurate / secure saving you effort and time. However, if that is inconvenient you may provide the data in a manually written or electronic format. For written data sheets utilize our contact message page or send us a completed vaccine certification data sheet available here via fax or snail mail. We ask you to verify or provide:
It is important to note that if the rabies vaccination data is modified by anyone it must be recertified as per the normal process. This recertification does not result in any additional Pawmit donations.
We ask the veterinarian professional to administer a vaccine with a four year life span, or longer for pets older than one year of age.
An animal control agency must be validated by Veripet before being able to perform certain functionality just as with veterinary licenses. As a animal control agency is not normally a licensed entity, Veripet will generate a license on its behalf. To complete the registration and certification process a animal control agency should logon to the Veripet site and add at least one license for its organization via the license edit page. There you will find a link to generate a Veripet SPCA license assuming the SPCA service was selected at registration time. If you did not select that functionality it may be added to your organization by the organization administrator via the service edit page.
It is important to note that a animal control agency license is associated with the organization whom a user belongs to. The license and location are selectable for those organizations that have multiple offices and physicians and should be maintained by the organization's account administrator.
All rescue organizations or shelters that desire to receive donations from the Veripet Donation Pot must include at least one in-force license prior to being permitted to participate in our donation program. A license is required to ensure the participating shelter is valid and in compliance with governmental regulations to receive non-profit donations.
The amount donated in response to purchases from Veripet is determined at the time the product process is completed; for a Pawmit that is the time the Pawmit is issued by Veripet. These donations, if any, will be valued and credited to the donation pot at those times and distributed in accordance with these terms.
We ask you maintain at least one CONTACT address as that is the one we look to when needing to contact the administrator of your account regarding any challenge that may occur such as needing to speak to someone at your organization regarding financial matters amongst others.
Address can be maintained via the My Addresses page on the user menu when logged in as your organization's administrator.
All payments and donations are contingent upon a pet owner and their vet successfully completing the pet's certification process. This includes the owner supplying all data, including but not limited to an image of the pet, owner contact, veterinary practice servicing their pet(s) and the veterinarian certifying the vaccination data.
All payments are made to the parent company not an individual user of the site. A veterinary professional is always assigned to a parent organization which is automatically setup at initial registration time along with an administration account for maintaining its account information, including banking, and contact details.
All donations associated with purchases will be credited after successful completion of the purchase process issuance of the Pawmit certification for a Pawmit purchase.
